Some work for Berlin based iCrates magazine. Their illustrators share the same deadline as the writers so for the top image all I had to work with was 'it's for the protest issue, like, female jazz protest songs'. The ambiguity was terrifying and I overcompensated with whole days on wikipedia while listening to obscure jazz podcasts and then didn't spend as much time on the drawing as I'd have liked. I was also working on it just after Christmas so I probably had stuffing/xmas pud for 5 meals straight in my pajamas. If we were supposed to hang out and I said I was too busy, now you know the truth.

For the second one I got 'space issue: a piece on the evolution of Ziggy Stardust'. I know what you're thinking. No.
